Taman Safari Indonesia

I was 9 months old at that time and that's my first time visited zoo in Jakarta, Indonesia called Taman Safari Indonesia located in the highway between Jakarta and Bandung West Java.

On 11 April, 2009 My aunt picked up us went to Taman Safari Indonesia by car. We spent 2,5 hours on the road to got there. Traffic ... traffic...traffic jam in Jakarta. Finally, we arrived at 11.22am. We need to paid the entrance fee so we could enter Taman Safari Indonesia and saw animals. Price for adult (Rp 50,000), child (Rp 40,000), vehicle (Rp 10,000).

First, we visited this drive-through zoo(Safari Treck). We could opened the windows to fed the animals with carrots or bananas, but when we were in tiger's area we have to close the windows! Don't even try open your windows, you might have a tiger look at you in the eye. We felt hungry so we parked our car and got Taman Safari stickers for free. We brought our own food, my uncle in law cooked Manado's food for us. If you didn't bring your own food. Don't worry!! Taman Safari has several restaurants or cafes such as Rimba Food Court, Caravan Restaurant, Safari Kuring Restaurant, Bakmi Safari Restaurant, Safari Fried Chiken, TIC Small shop, etc.

Taman Safari Indonesia has animals in different places. Ask for their map or follow the sign. Also they have animal attraction too for free. They have schedule for it and they will inform us with the loud speakers. We saw penguins were swimming, rode animals(horse, camel), saw tiger attraction for free. It's fabulous!! My aunt took pictures with lion. The ticket was only Rp 10,000 each animal.
